Who are you?
We are Inherit Design Studio — a furniture studio specialising in sculptural, handcrafted pieces designed for adaptability. Each item is made to order in the UK, with a focus on sustainable materials and timeless design.
What is Inherit Design Studio?
Inherit is a new chapter in design — a curated collection built around adaptability, modularity, and craftsmanship. We focus on supporting interior design studios and their projects, while also welcoming private clients looking for something truly unique.
What makes your pieces different?
Our approach focuses on adaptability. Pieces can be customised in size, finish, and upholstery to suit specific interiors or layouts. Every piece is modular, customisable in size, and available in luxury fabrics or COM.
Where are your pieces made?
All furniture is handcrafted to order in the UK and finished at our workshop in the Cotswolds.
Design & Customisation
Can I customise sizes or finishes?
Yes. All of our pieces are made to order, so we can adapt dimensions, fabrics, and finishes to suit your project.
Do you offer COM (Customer’s Own Material)?
Yes. We welcome COM for upholstery, so your pieces can be perfectly aligned with your project palette.
Can I see CAD drawings or renders before I place an order?
We provide CAD drawings and tear sheets for all our pieces. For trade partners, we can also supply concept renders showing COM fabrics for client presentations.
Do you offer bespoke design beyond your collection?
Our focus is on a curated collection, but we can adapt and customise pieces extensively. Bespoke commissions may be possible depending on project scope.
Do you provide renders or visuals for client presentations?
Yes — approved trade partners can request complimentary concept renders showing COM fabrics or finishes on our designs, ready to present directly to clients.

Ordering & Production
What is your lead time?
Most pieces are handcrafted and delivered within 10–12 weeks. Timelines may vary for complex customisations.
Where are your pieces made?
Every piece is handmade by skilled artisans in the UK, finished and assembled in the Cotswolds, and shipped worldwide.
How should I care for my furniture?
We provide a detailed care guide with every order. Our pieces are made from natural materials and finished with natural oils, so we recommend gentle cleaning with a damp cloth. For commercial projects, we can also offer more durable finishes.
Do you offer commercial-grade finishes?
Yes. In addition to our standard natural oils, we offer polyurethane finishes on request, ideal for hospitality or high-traffic settings.
Delivery & Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide using trusted logistics partners. Delivery times and costs depend on your location.
Will my piece require assembly?
Most smaller items are delivered fully assembled. Modular sofas are delivered in sections for ease of access and are simply bolted together on site.
Can you deliver directly to a client’s address?
Yes — we can deliver to your receiving warehouse or directly to your client’s address, depending on what works best for your project.
